    Curd Rice/Daddojanam



    Ingredients:
    Rice - 2cup
    Curd -1or2cups
    salt   -to taste
    oil    - 2tblsp

    Seasoning:
    Mustard seeds    -1or1 1/2 tsp
    Urad Dal     -1or1 1/2 tsp
    Channa Dal     -1or1 1/2 tsp
    Peanuts     -2or3tblsp
    Red chilli     -3
    Green chilli     -3
    Asafoetida(hing)-1/8 tsp
    Curry leaves     -10-13
    dry red chillies,broken -2

    method:
    1.Cook the rice(for 1 cup rice add 2 1/2 cups water)and allow to cool and mash lightly
    2.Add salt (to taste) and curd keep it side
    3.Heat a oil in a pan on medium flame
    4.Stir-fry the peanut about 1-2 minutes and take out from the oil.cool the oil for 2mins
    3.Again heat the same oil for seasoning add Channa Dal,Mustard,Urad Dal,Red chilli,Green chilli,Asafoetida,Curry leaves step by step
    5.Add peanuts and seasoning to curd rice
    6.Garnish with green chillies and serve with lemon or mango pickle

    Tip:
    .we can garnish with carrot and fruits as you like
    .we can use jeera in seasoning
